I have all the credentials you want to see in a charter captain.
But the thing about me is I absolutely LOVE seeing people light up when they catch their first fish... or the biggest fish they've ever caught... or a kid experiencing fishing for the first time.
I'm in this business to share my love and passion for fishing with you, and hopefully pass that along to all my customers.
Meet Captain Belle
Captain Belle is a well known fisherman out of grand isle and port fourchon. She is passionate about catching quality fish and ensuring her customers have a great day on the water. Hailing from Texas, Belle has made south Louisiana her home and we could not be happier to have her as part of the Geaux fishing charters team.
Meet Captain Jed Edwards - The Saltwater Cowboy
Known as The Saltwater Cowboy, Captain Jon Edward “Jed” Edwards has spent years fishing, exploring and writing about life along the Gulf Coast.
From the mangrove backcountry of Southwest Florida to the open bays, passes and coastal waters of the Gulf, Jed’s experience comes from a lifetime spent paying attention to the water, the fish and the stories that come with them.
He’s also the writer behind Adventures of the Saltwater Cowboy, where he turns those experiences into stories about fishing, boating, wildlife and life along the coast. His work has appeared in the Marco Island Coastal Breeze and the Everglades Mullet Rapper.
That background gives Jed a different perspective as a captain. He understands fishing, but he also understands that a great day on the water is about more than what ends up in the boat.
Now Capt. Jed is bringing that experience to Grand Isle and Geaux Fishing Charters, fishing the Louisiana coast during the fall and winter season.
Whether you’ve fished the Gulf your whole life or you’re stepping onto a charter boat for the first time, expect a laid-back day, plenty of local knowledge, a few good stories and, hopefully, some fish worth telling stories about yourself.
