Red Snapper Fishing in Grand Isle, Louisiana

The Best Eating Fish in the Gulf. And Grand Isle Has Them Close.

Grand Isle red snapper fishing is what Gulf fishing trips are made for.

Hard fighters. Easy limits. World-class table fare. And photos that'll make everyone back home jealous.

Grand Isle puts you on them fast.

The rigs and structure sit close enough that you're not burning half your day running offshore. When the bite is on, limits come quick.

Our captains have been working this fishery for over 20 years and know exactly where the fish stack up.

This is the trip people plan their whole Gulf Coast vacation around. It lives up to every bit of it.

What You're Fishing For

Red snapper are the main event, but offshore trips out of Grand Isle rarely stop at one species.

Depending on the season and conditions, you might also put lines on:

  • Red Snapper

  • Mangrove Snapper

  • Lane Snapper

  • Grey Snapper

  • Vermilion Snapper (Beeliners)

  • Triggerfish

  • Cobia

  •  Amberjack

Capt. Wagoner reads the conditions and puts you where the fish are biting — not just where they're supposed to be.

How We Fish It

Grand Isle sits close to a network of offshore rigs, platforms, and natural structure that red snapper call home.

With two boats in the fleet, we can accommodate groups of up to 12 anglers and our captains have been working this Gulf fishery for decades.

Bottom fishing with live and cut bait is the standard approach. When conditions allow, you may work multiple pieces of structure in a single trip.
